OG Fortnite Skins: Every Chapter 1 Skin & How to Get One

Fortnite OG has been running through Chapter 1 seasons since December 2024, and now that we're on Season 9, some outfits aren't available through gameplay. In this post, we'll break down the Chapter 1 lineup and show you how to get the exclusive items.

What Is the Fortnite OG Pass?

In Fortnite, "OG" refers to Fortnite OG. It's a game mode that replays Chapter 1 season by season and features cosmetics from that era. It's more of a temporary rerun than a permanent fixture in the store.

Epic made Fortnite OG a permanent game mode on December 6, 2024, and at the same time, the developers restarted Chapter 1 from Season 1. It brought back memories and experiences by reintroducing the original map and the historic loot pool. Each season has its own reward track known as the OG Pass; it's a six-page track (45 rewards instead of 100 tiers) that runs on its own season level. It requires 80,000 XP per level to complete the pass, making it manageable in a few hours a week over a two-month season.

These items are modern remixes rather than original cosmetics; for example, Renegade Rebel uses the Renegade Raider silhouette, and Skull Commander remains distinct from Skull Trooper. Epic re-releases the overall concept rather than the original item itself.

After Epic repriced its currency in March 2026, the OG Pass costs 800 V-Bucks (down from 1,000 V-Bucks). It's bundled into the Fortnite Crew subscription alongside the standard Battle Pass, LEGO Pass, and Music Pass.

Outfits Available from Every OG Chapter 1 Battle Pass

Nine OG seasons have run so far, each with its own set of skins and a hard closing date.

Chapter 1 Season 1 OG Pass Skins

By buying the pass, you unlock Renegade Rebel and Aerial Assault Bomber (which appear on page 3 at level 15, and Skull Commander arrived on page 5 at level 28); each cosmetic included a secondary style on a subsequent page (Renegade Racer variant) alongside matching items like the Renegade Reaver pickaxe and Royale Rider glider. And because Tilted Towers hadn't been added to the map grid yet, the environment felt authentically true to 2017.

Chapter 1 Season 2 OG Pass Skins

Season 2 remixed the two skins that defined early Fortnite status. The Black Knight and the Cuddle Team Leader (alongside a Sparkle Specialist rework). The Knight Conqueror and Sparkle Diva were also the main highlights of this release; the pass coincided with the official return of Tilted Towers to the OG map grid.

Chapter 1 Seasons 3 Through 9 OG Pass Skins

●       Season 3 gave Power Punk, Mecha R3X, and Sir Raven.

●       Season 4 remixed the lord heavy trio of The Visitor, Omega, and Teknique.

●       Season 5 leaned more into Drift with Riftreaver Drift, Redline Racer, and Tide Strider.

●       Season 6 gave Omen Hunter Calamity, War Wolf Dire, and Yon Dar 3000

●       Season 7 skipped the Ice King entirely. It led with Voidwalker Lynx, Lt. Winter, and Wonder Onesie.

●       Season 8 went pirate with Blackheart, Hybrid, and Luxe.

●       Season 9 (the current one) is running Dragonheart Demi, Neo Future Rox, Spectral Devourer, Neo Tilted, and the returning Infinity Blade.

OG Item Shop Skins From Chapter 1

The original skins are found in completely different places. Skull Trooper, Ghoul Trooper, and Recon Expert debuted in the Chapter 1 Item Shop, and continue to return on the shop rotation. Prepare to spend 1,500 V-Bucks each for the two Halloween skins. It typically arrives around the annual Fortnitemares event. Recon Expert ended a massive two-and-a-half-year absence in May 2020.

Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper are outfits that both came from the Season 1 Shop XP track; they've returned only once since 2017. They returned during a specific window between December 20, 2024, and January 30, 2025, when Epic Games locked them behind massive XP milestones in the OG Season Shop. For you to be able to buy them, Aerial Assault Trooper required you to farm 1,000,000 XP before paying 1,200 V-Bucks. The Renegade Raider required 1,500,000 XP.

Rarest and Most Iconic OG Chapter 1 Skins

Four specific skins carry the weight in the marketplace:

●       Renegade Raider sits at the absolute top due to a double barrier; players had to reach level 20 in the Season 1 Shop before they could buy it. And since almost nobody played in October 2017, it's the highest premium of any Chapter 1 outfit on the marketplace.

●       Aerial Assault Trooper fits the same criteria as Raider; it's just one level below it.

●       Black Knight is unlocked at tier 70 of the very first Battle Pass in Season 2. It has never returned to the store. It became one of the purest status symbols in the game.

●       Purple Skull Trooper is the base skin and is common because it returned to the shop in 2018. In the original 2017, buyers received an exclusive purple glow style, making that variant incredibly rare and valuable.

How to Get an OG Chapter 1 Skin Today

Grinding the Active OG Pass or Item Shop

Buying the live OG Pass is by far your cheapest option if it has the skin you want, costing 800 V-Bucks and requiring you to collect roughly 2.2 million XP to unlock level 28. This is where the third outfit is located; you can easily reach this goal with weeks to spare by finishing daily quests and playing a  few Reload or Battle Royale matches per session. If you're instead chasing classic Item Shop skins, make sure to top up your V-Bucks balance and set a calendar reminder for the annual Fortnitemares event.

Buying an Account That Already Has the Skin

Once an OG season ends, the rewards are removed from the reward track, and the only way to get a locker with those cosmetics is to buy an account that has them unlocked.
