Fortnite Festival Songs: An Introduction to the Best Jam Tracks List

Epic Games launched Fortnite Festival in December 2023, and it has grown in many ways. What was originally an add-on game mode at launch has grown into something of a platform that stands on its own within what should be just a Battle Royale game.
Here, we'll go over Festival and what it offers, including its headliners and the most notable among its jam tracks. With over 600 tracks, you're bound to find your own favorite pick, but these popular ones are the best to start out with.
What Is Fortnite Festival?

Fortnite Festival is a rhythm game mode in Fortnite, developed by Harmonix, the same studio behind Rock Band and the original Guitar Hero. The Main Stage core gameplay is very much Rock Band, where notes scroll down a highway, and the player hits them according to the beat across five instruments (Lead Guitar, Bass, Drums, Vocals, and Keytar) as you chase high scores for different songs along with up to three friends.
This game mode is playable with a standard controller, a keyboard and mouse, or a specialized controller such as the PDP Riffmaster guitar, which launched for $129.99 and retails up to $149.99. There are four difficulty levels, from Easy to Expert, and Pro charts for Lead and Bass that lean more into the Guitar Hero level of challenge.
Other than the Main Stage, there are other varieties, like the Jam Stage, a creative mode that lets you remix different songs. Battle Stage is a 16-player PvP elimination game, but it was shut down on April 16, 2026, due to low player counts, along with other games like Ballistic.

Epic Games Originals
Epic Games itself has produced over 200 original Jam tracks, continuing to expand this collection in 2025. Staples available to players include “OG (Future Remix)”, “Butter Barn Hoedown”, and “Show Them Who We Are. These are free additions to your library.
How to Get Jam Tracks in the Fortnite Item Shop

There are 4 ways to add Jam Tracks to your collection.
Item Shop (500 V-Bucks Per Track)
Jam Tracks typically cost around 500 V-Bucks or about $4.50, but you can't buy every song right away. The shop uses a rotating setlist model in which players can only play and purchase the tracks currently available. So even if one song isn't available for now, it will likely appear again after some time.
Be warned that this also means that while you can play them some other time, it will involve some waiting around.
Music Pass (1,200 V-Bucks Per Season)
Festival Passes cost 1,200 V-Bucks and include 4 to 8 jam tracks from other featured artists. Those, in addition to themed cosmetics, outfits, instruments, and emotes, are unlocked by gaining account levels similar to Season Passes. This Music Pass is also included with a Fortnite Crew subscription, which costs $11.99 monthly, making it the best value-for-money deal.
Free Daily Rotation
Around 40 songs are available in the Music Library, with the list refreshing every day at midnight UTC. These are songs that you get to perform on the Main Stage with no purchase necessary, but you can only do so for that day. This means you can sample songs to see which are best for you to buy.
Special Events and Bundles
Epic Games has organized events or special occasions when more songs were made available at one point in 2024. The 1st anniversary in 2024 was an occasion for a special release, with the then 285 song catalog made available for free for an entire weekend. There are also some bundles where songs are cheaper when purchased together, like the Snoop Dogg “D-O-Double G Bundle,” which also included cosmetics, as well as Winterfest events where some exclusive tracks were given away for free.
Top Jam Tracks Worth Your V-Bucks

With over 600 tracks and a rotating shop, it's difficult to buy every single song, not to mention how expensive it will be. If you're looking at the best songs to purchase, then it's worth noting the ones that play just as well as they sound.
“Enter Sandman” by Metallica is an absolute blast on Expert guitar and drums, with the main riff perfectly translated by the track mapping. “Master of Puppets” by the same band is another notable pick for the level of challenge.
The Killers' “Mr. Brightside” is well-known enough to sing along to with a solid chart that is satisfying but not at all punishing. “Blinding Lights” by the Weeknd hits a similar balance, notably on the drums.
For a track that is just really fun on greater difficulty settings, Sabrina Carpenter's “Espresso” also has a stellar vocal chart that may well be one of the best in the game. For an epic bass chart, “Feel Good Inc.” by Gorillaz delivers with its iconic bassline, while Eminem's “Lose Yourself” channels energy from start to finish.
And if you need the V-Bucks to buy the tracks you want, you can top up with igitems to get the best deals anywhere.
Fortnite Festival vs. Rock Band and Guitar Hero

Since both OG Guitar Hero and Rock Band were developed by the same developer as Fortnite Festival, comparisons are bound to appear. The similarity between Festival and Rock Band is definitely close, from the note highway to the overdrive meter and instrument roles, making this game feel right at home for long-time Rock Band players.
The biggest difference is in accessibility and options. Festival is free to play and runs on every platform, including mobile. You no longer require the instrument controllers like the PDP Riffmaster controller, but they're also still available as an option.
While Festival has also been criticized for being leaner than Rock Band, it's worth noting that Rock Band is a paid-to-play title. Festival's tracklist will also continue to grow, and will likely eclipse Rock Band's DLC song count of 3000 at some point.
New Content and Updates in Fortnite Festival 2026

With Fortnite being a live-service title, Festival is naturally continuing to change and update, with new songs becoming available and further changes to the game being made. Season 13 had Chappell Roan as its headliner, with the Heartcore Music Pass including some of her hits like “Pink Pony Club”, “Good Luck, Babe!”, “HOT TO GO!”, and “The Giver”. Laufey is the new headliner, with Season 14 going through July 2026.
Epic Games also added many non-headliner songs throughout 2026, including Ghost's “Mary on a Cross”, Pierce The Veil's “So Far So Fake”, Bad Omens' “Just Pretend”, American Football's “Never Meant”, and free Tenacious D tracks in early March. These recent additions really diversify the song catalog more than in previous years.
Song additions aside, the other major update is the removal of Battle Stage, which was recently removed. While the Main Stage clicked really well, the same just couldn't be said about the PvP elimination format.
Building Your Jam Track Collection

Fortnite Festival started in December 2023 with a modest 34-song library, growing through 2024 to a huge 600-song collection. It hasn't reached Rock Band's peak, but the future looks bright, and it doesn't even need to cost you. It's a solid game offering, with Music Pass providing a more premium but just as solid value.
If you are keen on building up your Fortnite Festival Jam collection, along with a treasure trove of skins and emotes, it's worth noting that the cost of all these can really stack up. Consider a stacked account from igitems for a solid foundation to get you started.
