Adding new and exciting cosmetics is the best way to boost your Fortnite account value. Some of these awesome skins are worth several hundreds and even thousands of dollars, making them a real treat for collectors. But which ones are worth the most? In this article, we break it down.
- Reaper
Reaper was a John Wick knock-off, which became available back when Epic Games was unwilling to invest in IPs. Players could gain this skin by reaching level 100 in their Chapter 1 Season 3 Battle Pass.
As with all other exclusive skins, there aren’t many Reapers around. Since the skin was awarded during Season 3, when the game wasn’t as popular, few players got their hands on it. So, it makes sense that it’s highly valued on digital marketplaces.
- Eon
If you’re into futuristic death robots, Eon is right for you. This skin was a prize to everyone who bought the Xbox One S bundle. The best thing is that you could buy the entire console for $250, which nowadays sells for $700. Talk about a wise investment!
- Travis Scott
Most people don’t even remember the last time they saw Travis Scott in the Fortnite Item Shop (if they ever saw it). The skin was introduced during Chapter 2, Season 2, and represents one of the hardest Icon Series Outfits to acquire.
Another reason this cosmetic is so pricey is that it’s currently vaulted due to an incident at one of the rapper’s concerts. It’s hard to properly assess the value of this skin as it can’t be found on the open market. As such, your best strategy is to auction it to the highest bidder.
- Galaxy
Fortnite was always famous for its collaborations and rip-offs. Among others, they worked together with Samsung to create the Galaxy cosmetic, which resembles an elderly gent with a magnificent mustache. The reason why getting this skin is so tricky is that you have to buy an entire smartphone!
Once you purchase the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 or Samsung Galaxy Note 9, you have to play at least three games on your phone. So, given that the price of these phones was $650 and $1.000 respectively, that’s how much you had to invest to get it (the offer is no longer valid, by the way).
- Renegade Raider
The thing that makes Renegade Raider so unique is that it was the first cosmetics in the store. Furthermore, you had to achieve level 20 during Chapter 1, Season 1, just to be eligible for a purchase. The skin wasn’t seen in the store for approximately seven years, adding to its exclusivity.
While the cosmetic is rather plain and uninspiring, that doesn’t change the fact that collectors are willing to spend top dollar for it. But then again, unless you’ve had it all this time, what are the chances you’ll get it now?
- Paradigm
Like many other skins on this list, Paradigm was one of the older cosmetics available in the game. Paradigm is a member of the Seven, whose story was finished by Chapter 4. She first appeared in the shop during Chapter 1, Season 10, costing 1.200 V-Bucks at the time.
Later on, Epic Games created another version of Paradigm that was available through Chapter 3, Season 4 Battle Pass. Still, the second variant was a far cry from this OG robot. Paradigm is extremely hard to procure on the open market, so if you find a way to add this skin to your inventory, expect the price of your account to skyrocket.
- Double Helix
Aside from Samsung and Xbox, Nintendo also had a chance to partner up with Epic Games. When the Japanese company released the Nintendo Switch, you had an opportunity to gain Double Helix as a part of the bundle. Basically, you had to pay $300 (which was the price of Nintendo Switch back in the day) to get this bad boy.
Of course, as with most other consoles and devices, this was a limited-time offer. As a result, only a handful of people got Double Helix, which is why the skin is tough to find in the official store.
- Psycho Bandit
Initial Psycho Bandit cost was 2.000 V-Bucks. The company started selling it in August 2019, and it wasn’t seen in the store since May 2020. You could get this cosmetic as a part of Crunk Bunny and Psycho bundles.
As you could presume, the cosmetic was released as a part of the Borderlands promotion. While the skin might look basic, it’s still a recognizable design that’s always associated with this game.
- Agent Peely
One of the funkiest, most nonsensical skins in Fortnite, Agent Peely pays homage to James Bond. The reason why it’s so rare is that you could only get it by reaching level 300 in Chapter 3, Season 3. To make matters worse, you had to reach level 350 to get a fully golden skin.
It required a lot of grind, so even if you played Fortnite all day long, there was no guarantee that you would acquire the cosmetic. Many players didn’t complete this challenge on time or simply gave up out of frustration.
- Rue
Rue is another skin that hasn’t been seen in the store for a while. The last time you had a chance to purchase it through official channels was about five years ago. Nevertheless, Rue is still available on third-party marketplaces, and you can get it by purchasing other players’ accounts.
Rue stirred up a lot of controversy over the years. Most notably, many players condemned the design. If you have this cosmetic in your inventory, you’ll be able to get much more money on sites such as igitems and Eldorado.
