Valorant Agent Tier-liste

The current Valorant meta continues to favor utility-driven play, with controllers and initiators dominating the upper tiers. Duelists remain relevant but are largely pushed into the middle of the pack, while several agents struggle to justify a roster slot in competitive compositions.

Clove, Neon, and Sova occupy S tier, representing the three most impactful agents in the current meta. Clove continues to define controller play with her unmatched resilience — her ability to smoke and influence the map even after death makes her a near-mandatory pick in any serious composition. Neon brings explosive, relentless aggression that no other duelist can currently replicate, with her sprint and slide mechanics enabling entry plays that consistently catch opponents off guard. Sova rounds out the trio as the premier initiator, his Recon Bolt and Shock Dart utility providing unparalleled information and follow-up damage that organized teams at every level continue to build around.

A tier is densely populated, housing Killjoy, Breach, Omen, Fade, Viper, Phoenix, Gekko, Iso, Reyna, Jett, and Cypher. Killjoy and Cypher anchor the sentinel role with strong site lockdown, while Omen and Viper offer reliable controller options with distinct map-control philosophies. Fade and Breach remain among the best initiators outside of S tier, each capable of enabling coordinated pushes with powerful crowd-control abilities. On the duelist side, Jett, Reyna, Iso, and Phoenix all bring meaningful individual carry potential, and Gekko continues to carve out a niche as a flexible initiator whose retrievable abilities reward disciplined play. This tier represents a wide but consistently viable pool of picks.

B tier includes Sage, KAY/O, Skye, Deadlock, Vyse, Raze, Tejo, and Brimstone — agents who remain functional but carry notable limitations in the current meta. Sage and Deadlock offer defensive utility that can shine on specific maps but lack the flexibility demanded by top-level play. Skye and KAY/O provide initiator value though they are generally outclassed by their S and A tier counterparts. Raze still threatens with raw damage output but struggles to match Neon's consistency. Vyse and Tejo are newer additions finding their footing, while Brimstone's controller toolkit feels increasingly rigid compared to more versatile smoke options available elsewhere.

Astra, Chamber, Yoru, and Waylay populate C tier, each facing meaningful headwinds in the current patch. Astra's global smokes demand exceptional game sense and communication to execute effectively, making her a high-risk, inconsistent pick outside of the most coordinated team environments. Chamber has never fully recovered from his rework, his once-dominant sentinel presence now reduced to a niche operator-focused playstyle that most teams can work around. Yoru remains a situational pick whose deception-based kit requires near-perfect execution to pay off. Waylay, the newest entry in this tier, has yet to demonstrate the reliability needed to compete with stronger alternatives in her role.

Cypher sits alone in D tier, a placement that reflects his continued struggles to keep pace with the sentinel competition. Despite periodic adjustments, his trap-based kit feels reactive rather than proactive, and savvy opponents have little trouble working around his setups. In a meta that rewards aggressive information-gathering and dynamic utility, Cypher's passive playstyle leaves teams at a consistent disadvantage.
