Why People Love Playing Pokémon Sword and Shield

For Pokémon fans, the Nintendo Switch's new Pokémon Sword and Shield games are a must-have on the handheld game console, though it is not as popular as other titles or gaming activities.

After more than 20 years, the series is still delivering fantastic games filled with beautiful creatures—and best of all, they're still massively fun. Today's article will discuss why gamers are hooked on playing this new generation of Pokémon. So let's dive into the topic!

Progress at Your Own Pace

Players can progress at their own pace in these games, making them exceptional. Over-leveled Pokémon can easily overwhelm players unless they are careful and run away from them in the vast Wild Area after leaving the first town. If you go further, you'll find a slew of powerful Pokémon. As a result of seeing Pokémon in the wild and choosing your interactions, trainers everywhere can strategize before entering fights and navigating previously frustrating caves and long stretches of water with ease.

Fresh Experience, Not the Same Old Pokémon We Used to Know

To see Sword and Shield's new take on the Pokémon series, which has been around for more than 20 years, is fantastic. It's refreshing to see something new and different from what has come before.

In general, this Pokémon game is less predictable than previous ones. Players are introduced to the game's legendaries at the start of the adventure, even if we already know them from the game's box art. Even though Hop's overzealousness annoyed me at first—especially since I kept losing to him—I was awed by how he matured and learned humility throughout the story.

It's not the first game to feature multiple opponents, but these have been the most diverse and well-executed. They're not just your pals who join you on your journey. Each of them is dealing with their issues and must live up to their standards. One way to avoid many of the problems is by purchasing Pokemons from online marketplaces and perfecting your collection that way.

It also deviates from the norm by allowing the plot to unfold away from the camera. After a long while, Sonia, the granddaughter of a Pokémon professor who had made a series of discoveries, told me to keep going on my Pokémon journey. A lot of my interactions with her were with me rather than the actual professor, who seemed to have a lot of expectations for her. Even Team Yell, the game's "evildoers," are merely misguided fans who learn and grow as the game progresses.

The main plotline of every previous game ended with the formation of the Pokémon League. To be crowned champion, you would have to face the region's Elite Four and Champion once you arrived there. Galar, on the other hand, is a unique place. In the beginning, you face off against your fellow challengers before moving on to the elimination rounds, where you'll eventually face off against the Champion, Leon. When I thought the main story was ending, it introduced something completely new and took a completely different path.

Wide Array of Pokémon Selection

The Wild Area gives players a wide range of Pokémon to choose from when putting together their dream team, with a good mix of new Galar Pokémon and old favorites. With one exception, my starter Cobble and the Pokémon I found in the first patch of grass served me well throughout the rest of my journey—even though I had no intention of keeping them. Never before has there been such a strong group of monsters, but this latest batch is genuinely exceptional. If you perfected your account in Pokemon S&S, but still wish to explore the universe further, perhaps try your luck with Pokemon GO and get a cool profile to play on right away.
