The Temporary Return of the Steel Hunter Game-mode to World of Tanks

The gaming community is buzzing with excitement as the popular Steel Hunter game mode makes a temporary return to World of Tanks. This return is especially significant because it comes without any official announcement from Wargaming, the game's developer. The event is set to run from August 21, 8:00 CEST to August 28, 3:00 CEST, offering both new and veteran players the chance to dive back into this classic battle royale format.

What is Steel Hunter?

For those unfamiliar with the mode, Steel Hunter is a battle royale game where you can either play solo or join one of the 10 two-player squads. The game lasts for 15 minutes, and the objective is to survive and eliminate all enemies. Players can collect special items that randomly appear on the map, which can include raw materials, battle XP, and combat ability charges. Destroyed vehicles also provide loot.

New Features and Rewards

This time around, the game will feature eight unique vehicles with special abilities. Players will have the opportunity to upgrade their vehicles, becoming stronger with each level. The battles will take place on three large maps, which will shrink as time progresses. Players must also avoid "destruction zones" that continuously damage your vehicle until it's destroyed.

In-Game Currency and Progression

Steel Hunter comes with its own in-game currency called "steel seals," which can be exchanged for unique customization items in the game's shop. Players can progress through easy daily missions, and completing these missions will allow you to move to the next progression stage and earn in-game rewards. Your progress will reset between the two appearances of the event, allowing you to earn double rewards.

Battle Pass Points

Additionally, players can earn Battle Pass points based on their post-battle rankings. The points are distributed as follows:

  • 1st to 3rd place: 7 points
  • 4th to 8th place: 5 points
  • 9th to 13th place: 3 points

Conclusion

The temporary return of the Steel Hunter game mode offers a nostalgic yet fresh experience for World of Tanks players. Whether you're a solo player or prefer teaming up, there's something for everyone in this classic battle royale game mode. So gear up and get ready for some intense tank battles!
