The Rarest BGMI Skins: Glacier M416, X-Suits, and More

What makes skins so rare that BGMI players will shell out real money for something that adds no extra damage? Take the Glacier M416, for example. It’s no more deadly than the original, but somehow attracts more eyeballs in the lobby than a Conqueror title.

In this battle royale, the rarest BGMI skins are in-game status symbols, not upgrades, and a few have been unavailable for years. Some of them were never offered to Indian accounts either.

What Makes a BGMI Skin Rare

Not all outfits marked as Legendary and Mythic are as rare as they are hyped to be, especially those you can buy from the in-game shop. Because of that, a skin’s rarity comes down to these factors:

●       An outfit must only have been obtainable through one limited-time event, Lucky Spin, or draw.

●       The outfit must have been a high-tier reward for its crate, with around a 2-3 percent chance per spin, keeping it rare even among big spenders.

●       Every rerun dilutes a skin’s rarity.

●       Collaboration outfits are rare since they usually cannot be rereleased after their tie-up ends.

●       BGMI was delisted in India on 28 July 2022 and then reinstated in May 2023, so every global PUBG Mobile event in those ten months skipped Indian accounts.

The Rarest Gun Skins in BGMI and PUBG Mobile

Nearly all of these gun skins are upgradeable, and the kill effect, loot crate, and final form require upgrade levels you purchase separately.

M416 Glacier

This one has an icy blue finish, animated frost, and a kill effect that freezes eliminated enemies in ice (which requires upgrade level 2 of 7 to unlock), so a level 1 Glacier is just an expensive coat of paint.

It debuted in the Lucky Spin, then moved to crates, returning in BGMI in the December 2023 Winter Crate, July 2025, November 2025, and for one week in May 2026. It’s still the rarest gun skin by reputation, if no longer by scarcity.

The Fool M416

This skin, with purple and gold colors and a grinning jester all over its body, was a product of the April Fools’ Lucky Spin. The item was rare for years but came back in the 4.2 update in January 2026. Bringing items back diminishes the rarity of skins like this, so the Fool was rarer before 2026.

Stray Rebellion M762 and Noctum Sunder M762

Stray Rebellion (often confused with Spray Rebellion) is the older one, with the graffiti design and the joker. It came from the Lucky Spin in April 2022 that also ran in BGMI.

The newer one is Noctum Sunder, which features the black-purple dragon scales with the fire effect. This was released during a rising-cost Ultimate Set draw back in June 2023 on global PUBG Mobile, and much later in BGMI in 2025 in the 3.8 update.

Desert Fossil AKM and Ghillie Dragon AKM

The Desert Fossil is an AKM rifle and is incorrectly placed in the sniper rifle category in many lists. This weapon features a wooden frame and a dragon fossil close to the muzzle, and it can be upgraded to level 7.

In early 2021, the Ghillie Dragon AKM appeared for the first time in the Season 17 Lucky Spin, months before BGMI’s launch. Later, it also turned up in a Premium Crate.

PMGC Prestige SCAR-L

This PMGC Prestige SCAR-L skin was available in BGMI’s Premium Crate from 17 January to 11 February 2022 for just 40 UC per roll. The gun features a blue, black, and gold color scheme and a laser effect on hitting the target. This is arguably the cleanest of all the tournament-exclusive skins in BGMI and is a proper collector’s piece that has never been seen since.

The Rarest X-Suits and Collaboration Outfits in BGMI and PUBG Mobile

Rare outfits include upgradeable X-Suits and premium sets that change appearance as you level up, as well as collaboration outfits. X-Suits return, but collaboration outfits disappear once their licenses end.

Blood Raven X-Suit

The second X-Suit got its 7-star rework in March 2026 in the PUBG Mobile global release, whereas Indian players got it in the Phoenix Rise Spin in April 2026. It consists of black feathered armor with red eyes. Through upgrade levels, the suit changes its looks, and ultimately, the wings spread at the max level.

Golden Pharaoh X-Suit

Pharaoh is the first upgradeable outfit in PUBG Mobile, introduced on 4 August 2020, and it rarely rotates back. Its level 6 golden form is still the benchmark for premium outfits in PUBG Mobile, featuring Egyptian-inspired golden accents and unique emotes.

Poseidon X-Suit

You’ll almost definitely stand out with a fully upgraded Poseidon suit with sea-god armor, a trident, and water effects. BGMI ran the Poseidon event from August to October 2021 at 60 UC per draw. This X-Suit has six upgrade tiers in BGMI.

Collaboration Outfits That Never Came Back

Examples include the Mission Impossible outfit (2018), the Leon S. Kennedy skin from the Resident Evil 2 collaboration (2019), and the entire Walking Dead set with skins of Rick, Negan, Michonne, and Daryl. BGMI launched in July 2021, while these skins were part of special crossovers in global PUBG Mobile.

Krafton rarely brings these skins back after their licenses expire, unlike in-house skins. This is one of the rarest categories in both titles, and today it’s only available on a global PUBG Mobile account.

What the Most Expensive BGMI Skins Cost

Since BGMI doesn’t have a trading system, there is no set price for rare skins. Instead, a rare skin’s real price is the UC required for a spin’s guarantee, or the cost of an account that already holds it.

For instance, the Glacier M416 has a drop rate of 2-3 percent, so players have to spend between 1,000 UC and 5,000 UC. Since larger UC packs cost about a rupee per UC, that’s as much as ₹5,000 for Glacier in a single window.

The price of a fully upgraded (7-star) X-Suit ranges from 80,000 to 110,000 UC according to community estimates, about a lakh of rupees. Upgrade materials are a separate expense, so a maxed X-Suit costs much more than the outfit itself.

Can You Still Get Any of These Today?

In-house skins do come back, and older Mythic outfits can be redeemed in the Mythic Forge using 8-10 Mythic Emblems. Reels that claim to give away Glacier for free are scams. BGMI redeem codes are limited to crate coupons or spin tokens and will never include a permanent Mythic weapon skin.

Glacier can be acquired by purchasing BGMI accounts that have it. Those listed on igitems show the number of skins (and X-Suits) they have up front. You may, however, have to check whether they have Glacier as a permanent skin or as a trial. Some may also have Glacier at level 1 and not have the freeze effect, so check its upgrade level as well.
