EA App Key Activation Guide

The EA App replaced Origin on Windows in 2022 (on Mac in 2025). This left many players wondering how they're going to redeem their EA Codes. Not to worry, though. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the entire process.

You'll Need

  • EA account
  • An EA product code from your igitems order
  • The EA App or a web browser

Step-by-step

  1. Launch your EA App
  2. Sign in to your EA Account
  3. Click My Library in the sidebar.
  4. Click the Redeem Code button.
  5. Input the product code into the field.
  6. Click Next, then Confirm on the next screen. And the title should be added to your account right after.

Troubleshooting

This is not a product code.

This error is caused by either an invalid code or by your entering a promo code.

Console code rejected on PC

Codes are platform-specific. Visit https://www.ea.com/redeem, then select the matching console title to redeem.

Mac Titles not in EA App

Some older Mac titles can only be redeemed on the web.

Will my game appear in the EA App instantly?

Once redeemed, the title should finally appear in your EA account. The app should pick it up on the next sync; however, you can always relaunch the app to force a sync.
